My friend

For a variety of reasons, I won’t be writing about my friend for a while. Suffice it to say, she’s doing remarkably well, and she still needs money. So if you have it in you to donate, please do (but remember that I have no guarantee she’ll ever accept it. As recently as today, she swore that she would make me send it to a charity a year from now). I just want her to know it’s there, that she has a cushion available. Even if she doesn’t claim it, it will have done some good.

If you are one of my readers who knows a bit more about her than I’ve written here, feel free to ask me to be less opaque offline, and I’ll do my best.

One thing she definitely needs (as do we all, actually) is your thoughts: please wish her strength, good fortune, health, and happiness. I do.
