Fascism is here. The Democrats are responsible. They haven’t presented an alternative.
I live in a reliably Democratic congressional district (and state Assembly and Senate district) in a reliably Democratic state. I have two senators, both of whom are Democrats, and both of whom I loathe.
I have a state senator and a state assembly member, both of whom are ridiculous.
And I have a congressman who… in spite of having opinions with which I mostly agree, a) is standing in the way of much more effective candidates, and b) bought his seat and hasn’t done squat since he was elected.
Ffs. Given the politics of where I live (left left left), we should be the home of the resistance. But we aren’t. We are the home of the ineffectual loyal opposition.
Ew. Not a good look as the brown shirts are on the march.
