Recently, I spoke at length about MetArt, about what I like about it and what I don’t. As I mentioned, there are two other sites in the MetArt family to which I currently subscribe. The first, MetArtX, features many of the same models as those featured on MetArt. But on this site, rather than denying the existence of sexuality, the women’s existences as sexual beings is celebrated by depicting them as they masturbate. There remains a fictional aspect, or fantastical aspect, to this world in that, generally speaking, the models masturbate either to goings-on inside their own heads, or to images of themselves or other female models. Men have not yet been introduced. This is fine by me. I don’t, generally speaking, crave men in my porn, and I love seeing a woman get herself off.
And. There’s one new entry each day, alternating between photoshoots (in which I have almost no interest)…

and videos (which I fucking crave). [I quickly edited this from PornTrex, to show you the parts I like best – the fully clothed, and then the rapturous orgasm. If I had my druthers, a lot more of the masturbation would be fully or partially clothed.]
As with MetArt, I wish the population of models were a bit more diverse, and I wish the scenes were a bit less sterile and monotonous. Woman after woman gets herself off in her bedroom, on a chair in her living room suite, or in her kitchen after inexplicably chopping fruit. The masturbation also features a languor that, while occasionally hot, becomes a bit numbing in its endless repetition. There’s no urgency to this masturbation. No drive. If there were a narrative, it would generally be along the lines of, “Yeah, that feels good. I think I’ll keep going and get myself off.” Urgency arises often as the session progresses, but I never have the sense that I’m watching a woman relieve a pre-existing hunger, appetite, or need. Rather, it’s like she’s happened on a fortuitous discovery.
All that said, I do like the website. I do like the films of women getting themselves off. The first website I discovered that featured women masturbating was called DigitalDesire. That site featured a distinctly 80s ethos.

Frosted hair, exaggerated slow motion, a performative vibe that wasn’t enough to turn me off entirely, given that it was the only website at the time I could find consistently presenting beautiful women masturbating. But certainly all that was wasted on me, and it would have been an improvement to get rid of it.
At MetArtX, my objections are milder. Yeah, I wish it were a little less sterile, a little less pristine. I wish there were a little more dirt, a little more emotion, a little more edge. But none of that remotely gets in my way. It just feels like a nod to improvements that might be available were I to remake the site.
And then there’s SexArt, the third in the family to which I subscribe. SexArt is bona fide hardcore porn. Men and women…

sometimes women and women…

and sometimes groups, having oral and vaginal and digital sex.

SexArt seems almost self-consciously targeted at a female audience. The gaze lingers slightly longer on the men than is typical in such porn. The sex tends to feature more cunnilingus and less felicio. And the setup is always, always romantic. These are couples, not strangers. The sex that’s being depicted is sex between lovers, not a hookup.
And again, as with MetArtX, there’s rarely anything that looks like ardor or urgency or intensity until well into a sexual interaction. The model population continues to be the same. Universally young, conventionally pretty, or beautiful. Eastern European. As with MetArt, the settings are often elaborate or exotic. These are people on expensive vacations, enjoying beautiful towns and cities, and then coming home to have languid sex.
All this is good enough for me. It’s the best there is out there, honestly. But in a subsequent post, I’m going to set myself to improving each of these sites. Remaking them in my own vision.
