Yet another non-sexual thought. Sorry….
As an American, I’m mortified that we don’t have a single journalistic entity of any scale (the Miami Herald doesn’t count, alas) in the consortium of journalistic heavyweights that is parsing the Panama Papers.
I’m also astonished at the paucity of coverage here, on the day of their disclosure. Here I am, a schmuck with no journalistic pretensions, worrying about it, and best I can tell, the only US media of any scale to mention it, other than the Miami Herald, are Slate and USA Today.
What. The. Fuck.
Time magazine did.
They’re all starting to cover it, because it’s simply too big to ignore. But they were slow, and my first complaint – that my county’s journalists are underrepresented in the consortium of journalists working on the primary papers – remains.
